The Catawba Lager & Ale Sampling Society is the local homebrew and beer appreciation club in Hickory, NC. We meet every month on the 2nd Tuesday at Advantage Beer & Wine Supplies in Hickory.
We are an extremely informal group of people. We have dues, but you are not required to pay dues to be able to attend meetings. We love gathering and sampling each other’s brew and “talking shop”.
Our meetings consist of sampling all types of homebrews. Each month, a different style of commercial beer is designated for those who do not bring homebrew for tasting. Occassionally, we organize pub/brewery crawls and visit local brewers in the region. We also volunteer at local beer festivals, often having our own booth where you may sample some of our brews!
